Rooted in funk and shaped by legends like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power, and Michael Jackson, Pete’s drumming blends power with precision, from fiery solos to deep, soulful grooves.
Born in Sheffield, Pete picked up the sticks at age four and never looked back. After early mentorship, he won the Drummers Alliance Beat 93 national competition and became Sabian’s youngest UK endorsee at just 13. By 15, he was already playing in clubs — and by 21, touring Europe.
Today, Pete drums for Level 42, tours globally with Incognito, and leads his own funk collective, The PB Underground. His playing has wowed audiences from clubs to arenas, channeling the spirit of greats like Billy Cobham and Bernard Purdie.
